Coronavirus & CBD. Before we get started here I want you to know that I thought long and hard about writing this post.
And the first thing you should do is go and wash your hands. Well. Go on, off you go – what are you waiting for? Do it five times a day.
Secondly, I do not want you to think that Bordighera Valleys as a Company wish to profit off of the fear and hardships of our fellow man. In fact, I state here and now that it doesn’t matter to me where you buy your CBD Oil from – but I do think that taking it is beneficial in our community fight against this new viral threat.
Firstly, where do we stand as of 05/03/20? Trying to understand exactly how the Coronavirus is mutating.
A Chinese team been playing “Spot The Difference” with the genetic code of the virus, using 103 samples they collected. The current thinking is that there are two distinct versions of the virus, one more aggressive and dangerous than the other.
This being said, the researchers involved are saying they have very limited data sets to work with – we all have to work with what we know right now.
What do we look for?
The symptoms of coronavirus are:
a cough
a high temperature
shortness of breath
But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness.
The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu, so try not to panic if you have any of these.
What Should I Do If I have Symptoms?
You need to check if you need medical help. Whatever Country you reside in, look for a local telephone number of your doctor, local hospital or specialist Coronavirus telephone line. DO NOT ATTEND THE DOCTORS OR HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY TOLD TO DO SO.
So having laid out the basics, what about CBD?

Inflammation contributes to the pathology of viruses.
Examples are influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and Borna disease virus (BDV).

Although it must be stressed that no research has been performed on CBD interacting with the corona virus, it is possible to reason that the compound may well help in the presence of this virus.
Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Inflammation is the process by which your body’s white blood cells protect you from infection. Unregulated inflammation, however can be extremely damaging.
It is known that COVID-19 creates an immune inflammatory response that is causing permanent lung damage in certain victims that survive the infection.

Although Corona is obviously a virus, if you become infected you may be at risk of a secondary bacterial infection.
If you are hospitalised for the 2019-nCoV viral infection, you may receive antibiotics because bacterial co-infection is possible.
To combat this, the use of CBD products may well be of use. Mark Blaskovich, PhD, senior research officer at the Centre for Superbug Solutions at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland in Australia
“The first thing we looked at is CBD’s ability to kill bacteria,” he says. “In every case, CBD had a very similar potency to that of common antibiotics.”
Summary
We are not saying that CBD Oil is a cure for COVID-19.
We are suggesting that perhaps it is a tool in your arsenal against the threat that we all face right now.
